Hey everyone. I am relocating to Canada in the summer and need to figure out what to do with my modified 2015 Abarth (aka NIBBLER.)
I have heard mixed messages about importing and then passing inspection in Canada. Some say I will be rejected and fail inspection because of any or all of my mods. Others claim it will be no big deal as long as I can pass Canadian inspection. Does anyone here have experience bringing a US modified Fiat into Canada and passing inspection?
I also need to consider getting a 4x4, so part of me thinks I should avoid the import hassle and just sell my Abarth here in the states.
I am torn... as El Gato just installed the big turbo w/ phase 3 tune right before Covid. It has since been stored in my garage after passing CT inspection.
I value this forums opinion... should I;
#1) Bring with me to Canada (pay all the fees, taxes) and risk failing inspection?
versus
#2) Sell in the states and get a new vehicle after relocating to Canada?
